CNC Live Centres

Till 1994, Live Centres available locally were not engineered for CNC Lathe applications. Those were good for manual lathes. PRASHTECH indigenously developed the product with novel features first time in India. Product trials were conducted on indigenously made load-setup followed by field trials. All this was necessary for confirmation of commercial usefulness. Once the product development was through, necessary manufacturing facilities were installed.

With PRASHTECH Live Centres have heavy-duty bearing arrangement that is designed for high-load, high-rpm conditions prevailing on CNC machines with effective pre-loading. These bearings are lubricated for life using specialty grease. To prevent entry of coolant and machining dust effective labyrinth type seal is used. All these unique features contribute towards reliable, dependable and economical solution for work-support at tailstock end.

PRASHTECH Live Centres you can easily replace worn out tip in less than five minutes and resume machining operations immediately without any downtime. A special Allen Key is provided for tip replacement. During the replacement the bearing arrangement is not disturbed.

Max. Concentricity error after tip replacement is 0. 0075mm that can be easily improved by changing orientation of tip while fitting it.
The crux of the design of PRASHTECH centres is to reduce on-load deflection of tip for getting controlled on-load run-out (tir) on the parts machined. Design incorporated by PRASHTECH is superior to alternative designs available in market.
